From what I understand, a lot of people either missed the cruise or broke...

I spent 2 hours IDLING for 30 miles, ran all 3 of my passes, had my number messed up by the tower on my first run, and all I got is a DQ because I stopped and changed the fuse for my water pump to keep my car from overheating... #27

That was the first time I've done True Street but i enjoyed the cruise. Yes it was slow at times but nice and scenic and fun rolling through the small towns.

One question though - why did I get a DNF? I did the cruise and the 3 passes, was there something I missed?

    Re: True Street Results

We tried TS for the first time. Other than getting the wrong car number on my car and a slow 1 hour 55 minute cruise, we had fun overall. We were the 5th car back and never got over 15 mph for the first 10 miles. It's too bad Troy Eaton (# 29 directly in front of us) dropped out on 31W. He only had about 4 more miles to go.

I got a thrill when somewhere outside of Smiths Grove, Lidio Iacubelli (directly behind us) got on it and I heard this Whoosh sound then looked in my rearview to see him coming at us fast ! That was cool.

I now have a new-found repesct for guys with fast True Street cars that can survive that tortue test and rip off 9-10-11 second e.t.s !!

We tried TS once, but not again.

I donít have a problem with the DQ itself, I got stuck at the back of the cruise and was passed by the escort almost immediately. I just wish the results showed the times I ran, I donít have my first run slip cause of the number screw-up, and a bunch of friends called to ask why I was DQíed and didnít run at all.

Hurley with another killer win and the fastest average in NMRA TS ever, correct ? Great job to him and all the competitors that finished the race or tried ! - the traffic sucks but thats what makes TS a fair race for everyone involved from the 8 sec guy to the 15 sec ones - 1 tank, and no changes/repairs -this aint drag week lol - Good job again to everyone especially TEAM HURLEY >> - Kris

We had a great time and enjoyed the cruise! Can't really blame NMRA for the slow cruise though, the local authorities said the traffic lights had to be obayed in the city limits and it took a while for everyone to get caught up.

Thumbs up Re: True Street Results

    Force Fed,
I got to tell ya you ad me worried with that 8.73 on the first pass. I was two cars behind you and siad oh crap. We had to give it all it had and use the second stage. Really didn't know what it was going to do as Friday we couldn't get it to grip and go.

You've got a nice ride! We were pretty close on fuel with the length of the cruise but with 90ish cars got to expect a long cruise I guess.

Anyways, it was a great time and good to see a lot of friends from around the country! Congrats everyone on a fun season and thanks NMRA, another great job. Allen

As far as I know, this is the fastest average for the NMRA. And I can only post the results that are given to me - you may want to ask Jeff if you have any questions. I'm only posting the spreadsheet he sends.
