    Superbowl Parings Question?

Which class does the SST get paired up with from NMCA - is it the True Street overall winner?

    Re: Superbowl Parings Question?

Thanks Jason - for the lucky SST participant that makes the run-off....are they aloud to select a different E.T. for the run off vs. what they had used for the SST race all day? Just in-case weather conditions changed - I figured to get this question out of the way in advance for everyone to know - rather than making a decision on the spot and having any issues....Thanks!!

That's what I like about Parisi - Always think like you've already won the race! You're not there for second place...

The difference between a champion and an "also-ran", IMHO.

Chris, just for fun, the points leader (at the beginning of Charlotte) in SST should take on the Winner in the NMCA Hemi Challenge (run at Maple Grove) at Charlotte during the last round of qualifying! Would make for good spectatin' and speculatin'. Just a friendly little grudge match...

Good luck and lights at Milan.

    Thanks Keith

And about your suggestion - I'm all for it - make it a dial-in time trial.

    Re: Superbowl Parings Question?

From what I can see we would take the True Street Overall winners average and the Super Stang Winners dial that they used all weekend. I will discuss this with some powers that be this week and see if it is worthy of a .1 break out or if it needs to be conducted with break out rules applying.

I think it would be fair if both sides get to choose their dial-ins for the Shoot-out. Now that I look at the rules closer as they are written they state:

"SST TS .5 PRO Handicapped by dial your own E.T."

But whatever whay you decide it will be - please post so there will be no questions when it comes to down to the wire.

    Thanks,

I plan to pit at the end of the staging lanes in Joliet - if I was 30 seconds later in Milan - I would have missed 2nd round - so yes I agree timing is important. Plus it didn't help that I was pitted next to the dyno machine.

What class does the Mod Muscle winner get paired against? And does his dial remain the same from class elims?

what happens when a NMRA car wins True Street, then you have 2 nmra cars going against each other in the superbowl run. nmra gets a free winner there.

Tremec is the True Street sponsor on both sides. My guess is that TS will be run under the NMCA banner for this event.

    Re: Superbowl Parings Question?

In True Street you can choose which series you want to run. It's not a one sided deal even now they both run together. Obviously if you have an entry that is not a ford and is not powered by a Ford you can't run the NMRA True Street. so if the Entry that wins True Street is a NMRA entry it will count as a NMRA win and if it's a NMCA entry it will be a win for the NMCA.
