Just heard the Host Hotel had a fire, and now they say they will be reopening next week?

Just thoughts of other hotels.. Where are you staying?

Thanks in advance!

When I spoke with the host hotel last week they said they will be open in time. Make sure to use the NMRA block rate the rooms were alot cheaper.

ill be staying at my house :P just about 3 miles west of the host hotel.

there are a TON of hotels in the area if you need a place there are a few hotels off of I-80/Larkin ave, I-80/Hobolt I-55/IL RT-30 these three intersections are close, the 2 on 80 are about 12 min and the one on 55/30 is about 18 min away.

if anyone has any questions, there are a lot of us in this area that can help with location of hotel, food and other stuff.

for instance, I-80/larkin (north) bob evans, tacobell, sams club
I-80/Hobolt (north) mcd, arbys, subway, Hero's West(sportsbar) West Side Tap(bar)
I-55 /Rt 30 - Louis Joliet Mall it has everything around there that the typical mall area has. every fast food you can think of a few semi nicer places for dinner, and like 4 hotels.

ps. closest walmart from track, north on 53 to I80 west to Larkin north to 52 west a little over a mile. 15 min from the track.

I will be staying at Doug's if we go.
FYI there are also some sitdown places to eat on Jefferson, which is off Larkin. The Wal Mart is also on Jefferson
