Johnny K is on the property with yet another change to his setup. He has rotated his 85mm turbocharger so that the inlet faces forward. Its legal for at least the next three races, the defending champ said. I went on vacation and when I came back, Wade at Southern Speed had it all taken care of. He adds that hes not really expecting any gains from it but thought it was worth a shot.

Big Daddy Dwayne Gutridge is back, but not as a driver. When we ran into him, we noticed he was wearing a Power TV polo shirt. It turns out that Big Daddy has signed on to the NMRA TVs on-air talent for the Atco coverage. Look for him to host the various segments on nmratv.com this weekend!

Tim Essick, currently number one in points in the Vortech Outlaw 10.5 class, has decided to run in Pro 5.0 for this event. While not in the mid six-second range of the class, sometimes it not all about winning, but about having fun. Since the track is only a couple of hours from his Brandywine, Maryland home, he hopped in the truck to come out and race.

One of our very own Race Pages project vehicles is out here competing this weekend. Jason Reisss 99 Lightning Project Trash Hauler is being campaigned in Modular Muscle by Jeff Stafford. So far, Stafford has carded a 13.57 at 101 miles per hour, while struggling to get it to hook up on the street tires. Well see what more seat time, and better weather brings later in the weekend.
