Todd,

I am posting the full results here for the NMRA as a favor to them and because of our past relationship. I am not here to post these and engage in smart-ass comments. If you have any comments or points you want to make, please do so.

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,
I use the New Posts feature to see all the new posts. When this popped up, I thought there might be another race going on that I didn't know about. If you took it as a smart ass comment, so be it. 27th Annual threw me off.

As for comments, I can say I've really enjoyed the in car cams and video Stangcrazy has provided. But it would be nice to get results for every race since we were informed at the beginning of the season that they would be provided by your site. And if results aren't available through Stangcrazy, maybe a post stating where they could be found would be nice. After all, not everyone on here can make the races.

Take it as you please. All we are asking for is results no matter who they are from.

Todd,

I apologize for immediately interpreting your post as a smart-ass remark. The reason I did your post last week in this forum deriding the NMRA for posting results and posts in the past where you have posted about results. After seeing that, I took your remark as sarcastic being that I posted these results after the conclusion of the event.

StangCrazy did not sign or enter into any formal agreement with the NMRA to post results for 2005, as we did for the 2004 season. We did provide complete real-time results in 2004 per an agreement with the NMRA where we would in turn post the results here. As a side note on that agreement, we were not paid by the NMRA to post results. For the 2005 season, I have posted results for the NMRA here on their board mainly as a favor to them since we had done it in the past.

I knew entering the season that we would not have the personnel available to have someone sit and enter results all day. We implemented a new system when Jim Gilmour came on board and we are very happy with it. We have some issues to clear up and will change the format for various reasons to improve response and timing. When we started that system, we did not anticipate some of the logistical things that came up with the database system(well, I did not). I have noticed that we had some data corruption on names so I have been manually working through that. I had thought we could provide results in a manner similar to 2004, but manpower again was the problem as Jim was racing in M/M and we also worked on video. So, after a few races, we made it known that we will not have results posted immediately. We do however, have nearly complete results posted for the whole season in an easy to navigate format. They are not immediate but do provide a service.

As you know, we have made an effort this season to provide a lot of video. We did this fairly well throughout the first half of the season with standard event footage with two cameras and three in-car cameras. In the middle of the season my desktop computer crashed a hard drive taking out the video drive and then the next week my laptop hdd went bad. Then a few weeks after that the desktop motherboard went bad. These are all new parts from just last November, so it came as a shock. Anyway, it has been very painful to deal with. I am waiting on a new desktop and trying to get stuff done with my laptop, but it does not handle video stuff very well. I have quite a backlog of videos to work on for the second half of the season. I made the strategic focus of SC this season to provide a lot of video with more than just standard stuff. We had done results and pictures in the past but I wanted to step it up and provide more. We've had growing pains with it, but also a lot has been learned. This is not directed at you, but it's amazing that there are probably equal amounts of support and complaining for what we are trying to do, which is funded mostly out of my own pocket save for some generous sponsors.

As stated above, we do post results, but have not posted immediately this season as we have in the past.

As to your question on where to find results...you have posted in the past to let others know that HC50 has been posting results so I believe that you are aware of that. I do believe there are posts here by different people for every race stating that. They have done a fine job of posting results and I applaud them for that. Now...that does not mean that the NMRA does not have some work to do in this area. I am sure there have been some discussions about different ideas to do that. I am not an NMRA employee and aren't privy to what is being discussed.

All I am trying to do is provide some coverage for the fans of racing.

Thanks,
Frank
